GEEK TOY: THE ROBOT FLUSHER

If you find flushing the toilet too much effort, I can now tell you the answer to all your problems: the RoboFlush. It's a simple robot built using a Lego robot kit, and it's designed to flush a toilet automatially.

It incorporates a sensor which detects when somebody is in range, then as soon as they go out of range, it sends a signal to the flusher, which does what you would expect. You can also flush the toilet manually if you want.

The only problem I can see is that it would be hard to watch it to make sure it works (or just for fun) because it won't flush until you move away!
