REAL LIFE NEWS: MERMARTIANS

Remember the face on Mars? You know, the face that seemed to show up in pictures taken of the Martian surface. It turned out to be an optical illusion that was only visible when you viewed a rock formation from a particular angle (at least, that what they want you to believe).

Now, for fans of this kind of stuff, there's a new one to ponder: a mysterious figure which you can see in one of the pictures sent back by the Spirit rover. Take a look at these pictures.

Some people have commented on the similarity between this alien, and the statue of the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen , making it a Mermartian. Personally, I think it looks like a monster out of Dr Who.
