PLANET HOPPING REVIEW
by Trilleth
When a certain Fed socialite has had a little too much turkey and not enough adventure, it's time to go on another planet-hopping mission. Happily, there were new planets to indulge my little whim of fancy.
FLYER in the AERO system
I like things that fly. I may have mentioned that before. So I was a little excited to see a planet that seemed to be all about flying. There are some lovely gardens here and a few nods to the history of airplanes on Sol's Earth. But I was disappointed that there is no shopping, no beds, no water. What good is flight without all that other stuff?? Sadly, I left, appreciating the history behind the planet, but needing to find somewhere to spend some groats.
RATINGS:
Shopping: 1 There is a shipyard. Hmph! ;)
Water: 0 There might be water in the gardens, but I missed it, somehow.
Beds: 0 I am NOT sleeping on a statue
Social scene: 2 Little harder to keep up a conversation with a statue than a living person.
OOC: Much potential on this fairly basic planet. I look forward to seeing more in the future. :)
ODYSSEUS in the MOUNT OLYMPUS system
Woo! A planet based on Greek mythology? Anyone who's been to Siryn likely knows I like Greek mythology. And now a whole planet of it?
Wait! A planet made of CANDY??! This couldn't be right. I like candy... especially chocolate candy. But where were the myths?? Then again... a road made out of chocolate has to be good, yes?
The whole planet is built from candy and, if you have a sweet tooth, nearly demands a visit. But, somehow, I'm still looking for my myths...
RATINGS:
Shopping: 5 I didn't find anything to buy. On the other hand, there are sweets and drinks for the taking.
Water: 2 Okay, it's lemonade, but it IS a river.
Beds: 0 In theory, I could sleep on that spongy stuff. I think not.
Social scene: 2 Everyone was just so fake and SWEET. ;)
OOC: It's a stock candy world - a lovely place to explore, but not original. I hope the owner will be rewriting it soon.
CORLEONE in the SICILIA system
Okay, I'm getting a bodyguard before I do any more of these reviews. Allegations of wrongdoing... I'm just a part-time reporter, full-time socialite.
I settled down as I started exploring, although I fastidiously avoided the wine, just in case. I did find a lovely villa (I may have overstayed my welcome), a cathedral, and FINALLY some shopping. Happy at last, I eventually headed home, vowing to return the next time I needed a good Sicilian meal.
RATING:
Shopping: 8 There's a plaza with pushcarts; not quite my usual style of shopping, but it IS shopping.
Water: 9 Lovely fountain in the middle of the Village Square as well.
Beds: 7 There was something a bit off about the one bed, but the other was delightful and I love a good pillow mint.
Social scene: 5 Charming, outgoing, hard-working (cough!) people. Just a bit on the loud side.
OOC: Planet is due to promote quickly and will add new locations, so a revisit is recommended in the future.
