ON THE WEB: WHY GOOD GRAMMAR MATTERS

Three cheers to the author of this article, in which he explains why he won’t employ anybody who doesn’t understand good grammar. I wish more people would take spelling and grammar seriously.
“Oh, you know what I mean, so don’t be such a stickler,” they say. But as the article points out, in any written communication your words are all we can see, so if you don’t take care to make them say exactly what you want them to say, we may not know what you mean.
Of course, the drawback to the author’s strict rule is that he may find it hard to employ anybody...
