UNDERWEAR OF THE WEEK: BRA THAT CHECKS FOR TUMOURS

After the electric knickers I told you about a few weeks ago, this week’s techno-underwear is a bra that monitors the breasts for early signs of breast cancer.
The Breast Tissue Screening Bra, developed by First Warning Systems from Reno, NV, contains sensors that measure the tiny temperature changes that occur when blood vessels grow to feed tumours. The changes are so small that most women don’t notice them for years, so the bra could provide an early warning system.
The bra is currently being tested.
