VIDEO OF THE WEEK: THE UNIVERSE

This is several years old but somehow I have only just noticed it. It’s a journey through the universe, starting on Earth with the Himalayas then zooming out into space to show the rest of the Solar System, the milky way, the surrounding galaxies and then every known item in the rest of the universe right up to the afterglow of the Big Bang.
And then back again.
The video is made using data from the Digital Universe Atlas that is maintained and updated by astrophysicists at the American Museum of Natural History.
