DUMB CRIMINALS OF THE WEEK: DRUG GANG SELFIES
by Hazed
Selfies are all the rage right now, but if they show you doing dumb things you had better hope they remain private. If they show you actually taking part in illegal activities, then you’d really better make sure they don’t come to light.
This is a lesson that two suspected gang members from West London failed to heed, and as a result they ended up in prison. Maybe they are infected with the stupidity virus – it would explain a lot.
Police had been carrying out surveillance on Sophian Chhayra and Zakaria Chentouf because there were suspected of being part of a drugs gang operating in the swanky Kensington and Chelsea area of the city. When the cops thought they had enough evidence, they swooped in dawn raids and arrested the pair. Of course, the police seized their phones, and when they looked at the photos, what did they find but a load of selfies of the idiots posing with huge bags of cannabis and massive wads of cash.
Really, that makes the prosecution’s job so much easier. They don’t have to expend much energy putting together a case against you if you just hand them photos of you committing crimes.
So next time a police spokesman moans about how much harder their job is what with all this modern technology that criminals use, just remind them that sometimes the criminals are stupid enough to let the modern technology do the police’s job for them!
