ORPHANED PLANETS TO BE REMOVED

As part of rearranging the planet data, Alan took a look through the list of star systems currently in the game, and he found two orphaned systems. That is, systems where the owner’s character is no longer in the game.
This happens when a PO dies dead-dead. Although the character is deleted, the planets that he, she or it owned are not. They continue to be loaded into the game and can be visited as usual.
The two abandoned systems are:
- Arcata – planet University, owned by the now dead Humboldt
- Rogue – planets Abyss and Wilderness, previously the property of Otter
The first one doesn’t have any property on it so will come out this weekend – by the time you read this it will probably already be gone. The second has a warehouse on it, so the owner needs to dispose of it this week or when the star system comes out next weekend, you will lose it.
It is also time to make a pass through the list of star systems looking for abandoned ones – that is, systems owned by players who haven’t set foot in the game for at least three years. We took a load of those out last year but time marches on and more systems now fall into this category.
They will be taken out of the game over the next month, and we’ll report in advance the systems due for the chop so you can sell any property you may have on the planets.
