PHONE CASE OF THE WEEK: IS THAT A GUN IN YOUR POCKET?

Novelty cases for your iPhone are popular, but here’s one that you probably shouldn’t use: it’s shaped like a gun.
US police have put out a warning that people should not buy it. “Please folks – this cell phone case is not a cool product or a good idea,” a Facebook post from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s office says. “A police officers [sic] job is hard enough, without having to make a split second decision in the dark of night when someone decides without thinking to pull this out while stopped for a motor vehicle violation.”
The NYPD also tweeted a picture of what it looks like when it’s in your pocket, to discourage anyone from using it. Yes, what a surprise, it looks exactly like you’re carrying a gun.
Even in a country where going armed is the norm, I can’t imagine it would be a good idea to walk around with your phone disguised as a firearm, so best not buy this.
