PICTURE OF THE WEEK: THE ISS TRANSITS THE MOON
by Hazed
Sometimes a great picture is snapped because the photographer just happens to be in the right place at the right time. And sometimes it takes a lot of planning, a lot of waiting and a lot of failed attempts before you get that one perfect shot.
This picture is a very good example of the latter. It shows the International Space Station passing over the Moon.
The photographer tried to get such a photo for over 12 months before finally succeeding. He had one third of a second to get the shot – and he finally did it. It’s a spectacular image so was worth the wait.
Take a look at the image of the ISS transiting the moon here, where you can also read more about how he did it.
