PICTURES OF THE WEEK: JUPITER’S RED SPOT

The Juno spacecraft has sent back the first close up images of Jupiter’s great red spot. The probe dived down towards the planet’s surface on July 10, swooping to within 5,600 miles of the surface, directly over the storm system.
