The biggest news of the month was the announcement that Fed was switching to flat-rate billing, and that it would be free for several weeks over the holiday period. As soon as the billing clock was turned off, numbers shot up and many old friends reappeared. But everything else seemed to be on hold, awaiting the arrival of free Fed. A new version of FedTerm32 was released which fixed a long-standing bug in SpyNet Notices, and was able to cope with large numbers of players being listed on the player list. Jingle bells... Christmas in Fed meant it was time for Santa to come and visit, and the impending Millenium celebrations (no, don't bother to tell us...) saw a special millenium puzzle planet. Christmas also meant there were only 3 issues of the Chronicle published during December, so once again it means a rather short yearbook. Never mind, things should get livelier next year... |
