FED2TERM MANUAL - PLAYING FED2 WITH FED2TERM

CARRYING OUT ACTIONS ON A PLAYER

Clicking on a name in the player list selects that player; the name will be highlighted.

If you have selected the name of a player, and you are typing in the input buffer, then pressing 'Ctrl-Space' will transfer the name of the selected player into your input buffer. Double clicking on the name of a player in the right hand window will also transfer the name into the input buffer.

Right clicking on the player list will bring up the players menu. This gives you various options:

Buying a round

This sends the game the 'BUY ROUND' command - only really useful if you are in a bar!

Examining a player

Sends the game an 'EX playername' command, where 'playername' is the name of the person currently selected in the player list. if you don't have anyone selected in the list, you will get an error message. Obviously the game will complain if you aren't in the same location as the person you are examining.

Hugging and Kissing a player

These items send the game a 'HUG playername' and a 'KISS playername' command respectively where 'playername' is the name of the selected person. Kisses can be sent over your comm unit, but hugs will only work if the player is in the room with you.

Getting a SpyNet Report

This asks for a 'SPYNET REPORT' on the selected player.

Sending tight beam messages

This transfers the string 'TELL playername ' into your input window, where 'playername' is the name of the selected player. Note that this command only transfers text to the input window, it doesn't send anything to the game - you type in the message you want to send to the player, then press return.
