FED2TERM MANUAL - PLAYING FED2 WITH FED2TERM
USING SCROLLBACK
To see text that has moved off the top of the output window, use the scrollbar on the right hand side of the window. The scrollback buffer generally saves about 150-200 lines, but you can increase the number of lines saved in the buffer to 500 by selecting the 'Options' menu and clicking on 'Large Buffer'.
However, looking at previous text this way means you won't see any new text that comes in - so you might miss an important message.
If you want to review what has happened in the past but still be able to see what is happening now, you can use the scrollback split-screen window. To activate it select the 'View' menu and click on 'Scrollback Window', or click the button on the toolbar. The output window splits into two; the lower half continues to display new messages while the upper half displays the contents of the buffer. Note that in split screen mode the scrollback window will not update with new messages coming in.
You can change the relative size of the two windows by dragging the slider up and down. Both windows have scrollbars so you can move back and forwards through the messages.
To turn the scrollback window off again, select the menu item or click the button again.
