VIDEO OF THE WEEK: A YEAR OF THE SUN

The Solar Dynamics Laboratory has been photographing the sun, snapping a picture every 12 seconds. Now NASA has stitched together a whole year’s worth of images to make a video.
The pictures were taken from January 1, 2016 to January 28, 2016, and show the sun subtly increase and decrease in size because the distance between the sun and the spacecraft varies over time.
