ROBOT OF THE WEEK: VIOLENT DROID ATTACKS VISITORS TO TECH FAIR

A robot at a Chinese tech fair went berserk recently, smashing a glass window and injuring a visitor.
The robot is called “Fatty” and is intended to be used in the home. It was being displayed at the China Hi-Tech Fair 2016 in Schenzhen when it went wild.
But don’t panic, this is not the start of the Rise of the Robots – it’s been blamed on human error. The operator of the robot hit the “forward” button instead of “reverse” which sent the robot in the wrong direction. It hit a neighbouring booth that was made of glass, shattering it, and splinters injured the ankles of a visitor.
At least, that’s what they want you to think…
